These rubies have a lighter pinkish red hue to them (characteristically different from the rubies that originate from Burma (present day Myanmar) which have a deeper, blood red hue to them). These stones originate from the ruby mines of the northern territories of Pakistan which are home to some of the finest rubies in the world.
