For sale is a real Ammonite fossil. Ammonites are extinct relatives of today's cephalopods including octupi, squids, cuttlefish etc. They had a coiled shell similar to that of the modern-day nautilus. They were extant during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Most of these fossils originate from Madagascar and a few from Russia.
- The fossils measure about 1.5 - 2 inches long (3.75-5cm) long and may differ slightly from what is pictured in the photos.
