For sale is an emerald that originates from the northern regions of Pakistan (Swat region).  The emerald has a deep green hue to it (characteristically different from the emeralds that originate from Muzo, Colombia, which have a lighter, parrot green hue to them).  This stone originates from the emerald mines of the northern territories of Pakistan (Gilgit Baltistan) which are home to some of the finest emeralds in the world.
